Mrs. Edna Joyce Boman, age 75 of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Boman was born December 17, 1939, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Kelsie and Cara Gosa. She was a seamstress at the garment plant and worked the last ten years with Alabama Home Health Care. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boman was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Gosa and Roger Gosa, and two sisters, Ruth Ward and Lucile Woodham.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 in the funeral home chapel with burial at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6-8.
Pallbearers will be Josh Stanford, Cameron Gosa, Lee Carruth, Jordan Frye, Luke Madison, and Wayne Boman
Mrs. Boman is survived by her husband, Lynn B. Boman of Vernon, AL; three sons, Lynn (Christy) Boman, Jr. of Vernon, AL, Ricky (Kathy) Carruth of Vernon, AL, and Terry Boman of Savannah, GA; one daughter, Benita (Jonathan) Stanford of Beaverton, AL; nine grandchildren, Maleigha Boman, Greyson Boman, Kyleigh Boman, Kelly McDaniel, Brandy Tart, Lee Carruth, Bridget Koontz, Kelly Wilcher, and Josh Stanford; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise Schmidt of Florida and Arnell Baughn of Illinois.
