Mr. Elbert Franklin Langley, age 86 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Langley was born November 10, 1934, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Denmon and Pauline McGill Langley.  He graduated from Lamar County High School in 1954, then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in March of 1955.  Mr. Langley retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service, then later worked with and retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in Sulligent.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Ann Murphy.

There will be a family graveside service Tuesday at 2:00 at Furnace Hill

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mary Nell Crawford Langley; two brothers, Jimmy W. (Ann) Langley and Johnny M (Barbara "Babs") Langley; one sister, Judy (Ray) Merchant; and his nieces and nephews.
