Mrs. Elma Rogers Northington Comer, age 83 of Helena, AL and formerly of Vernon, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014.

Mrs. Comer was born August 22, 1931, in Vernon, AL to the late John Wesley and Claudie Lee Rogers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Montevallo and gave to her favorite charities: Autism Society of Alabama, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, and Jimmy Hale Mission in Birmingham. Mrs. Comer was also preceded in death by her two husbands, Clyde Northington and Hubert C. Comer, five sisters, and one brother.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00 at Lamar Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 10-11 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Survivors are her precious children, Jeff (Susan) Northington and Beth Watts; the great loves of her live--her grandchildren, Emily Marie Watts and Brandon Clay Northington; and her sister and brother-in-law, Betty Joe and Kenneth Taylor.
