Mrs. Elouise Turner Young, age 97 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Young was born March 10, 1919, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Marvin Grady and Addie Crawford Turner. She was a homemaker and was married to the late Morris Edward Young. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Young was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Turner; four sisters, Louise Chaffin, Gracie Stanford, Effie Mae Davis, and Zadie Cockrell; and three brothers, Grady Turner, Jack Turner, and Robert Earl Turner.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2:00 at the New Hope Cemetery on McGill Gin Road with Arnold Sheets officiating.
Survivosrs include three grandchildren, Carol (Bob) Tiner of Homerville, GA, William Hendrix of Georgia, and Brad (Joy) Hendrix; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Kaeli Hendrix; two great-great-grandchildren, Nero and Bricyn; three brothers, James Turner of Vernon, AL, Clay Turner of Flora, IN, and Billy Turner of Winfield, AL; a special niece, Banks Hudson; and a host of other family and friends.
