Mrs. Elsie Faye McCool, age 72 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.

Mrs. McCool was born January 6, 1941, in Monroe, Co., MS, to the late John Luther and Emma Jean Barham. She was a homemaker. Mrs. McCool was also preceded in death by a grandson, Chuck Myers; half-brother, Elmer Barnes; and half-sister, Lucilla Perkins.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Oakes and Bro. James Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-8 then again Tuesday 1-2 prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Robert McCool of Vernon, AL; two sons, Bobby (Laura) McCool of Steens, MS and Michael (Lyn)McCool of Horn Lake, MS; two daughters, Evelyn (Doug) Barnes of Vernon, AL and Lawanda (Jimmy)Garner of Columbus, MS; ten grandchildren, Billy Knoop, Vicki Allen, Jennifer Costas, Jessica McCool, Andrew Garner, Sarah Garner, Sean Garner, Chris McCool, Allyson Creighton, and Michelle McCool; seven great-grandchildren; and two sister, Shirley Beard of Columbus, MS and Geraldine Lucas of Lousianna.
