Mr. Esker "Mookie" Jay Johnson, Jr., age 36 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in Quinton, AL.

Mr. Johnson was born November 20, 1983, in Fayette, AL.  He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Rector "Rex" Johnson, Sr. and Revish Lee Rozell.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Supt. Murry Richard Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at New Church Cemetery on the Buck Jackson Road.  There will be a wake Saturday, 12:00-2:00, prior to the service.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his parents, Esker Jay Johnson, Sr. of Sulligent, AL and Angie Rozell of Winfield, AL; two daughters, Trinity Johnson of Detroit, AL and Paris Johnson of Winfield, AL; one brother, Tyrone Johnson; one sister, Jamie Ann Nedrow; his grandmothers, Mattie Johnson and Willar Dean Rozell; his nieces and nephews, Aaliyah Johnson, Karmen Johnson, Tyrone Ethan Johnson, Adriana Nedrow, and Aaron Nedrow; and a host of other family and friends.
