Estlee Hopper

Mrs. Willie Estlee Hopper, age 86, of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Convalescent Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Hopper was born February 18, 1940, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Tom McCory Humphres and Effie Hollan Humphres.  She was a seamstress at the garment plant.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dora Hopper; her great-grandson, Dallas Flippo; her daughter-in-law, Angie Hopper; three brothers, Lloyd Humphries, Archie Humphres, and Jerry Humphres; and five sisters, Jerlean Vinson, Bernice Smith, Olean Parker, Shirley Swink, and Jewel Atkins.

Funeral services will be Thursday, at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Robert Humphres officiating.  Burial will follow at Lampkins Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Paul Hopper, Donnie Hester, Mike Tomlin, Tommy Tomlin, Billy Shaw, and Tommy Shaw.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Hopper; one son, Randy Hopper; one daughter, Rhonda (Ronnie) Hester; four grandchildren, Haley Hopper, Ashley Hopper, Megan Hopper, and Lucas Hester; eight great-grandchildren, Jaden, Emma, River, Ila, Isabella, Stetson, Wylder, and Linden; two sisters, Marge Madden and Bobbie Shaw; and a host of nieces and nephews.
