Obituary
Mrs. Ethel Mae Stanley, age 95 of Columbus, MS and formerly of Millport, AL, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.
Mrs. Stanley was born April 29, 1918, in Lamar Co., AL to the late John Almus and Lela Margaret McGee. She was a seamstress and was married to the late Willard Stanley. Mrs. Stanley was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence McGee and Romie McGee, and her sister, Margie Rhee McGee.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel with Chris McCool and Raymond Spann officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6-9.
Survivors include three nieces, Imogene (Redus) Williams of Millport, AL, Elaine (Bobby) Shackelford of Columbus, MS, and Dianne (Glenn) Garrett of Columbus, MS; her sister-in-law, Aileen Woolbright of Reform, AL; six great-nieces and nephews, Sharryn (Bruce) Dunkin, Todd (Candi) Shackelford, Tim (Edie) Shackelford, Joshua (Megan) Garrett, Jacob (Kristen) Garrett, and Jared Garrett; ten great-great-nieces and nephews, Matthew Dunkin, Ridge Shackelford, Hannah Shackelford, Pearce Shackelford, Kylie Garrett, Noah Garrett, Jude Garrett, Damion Bailey, Caitlyn Shackelford, and Autumn Shackelford; and a host of cousins and friends.
