Mr. Eugene Joseph Hulen, age 51 of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016, at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI.

Mr. Hulen was born March 10, 1965, to Carolyn Hulen and the late Billy Ray Hulen. He was a self employed businessman and was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Jo Frances Steele, and his father-in-law, James DeFord.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 5-7 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with services to follow at 7:00. Benny Northam will be officiating the service.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Hulen of Vernon, AL; his mother, Carolyn Hulen of Columbus, MS; one son, Nicholas Eugene (Katy) Hulen of Columbus, MS; two daughters, Amy Kylus of Savannah, TN and Danielle (Matt) Weathers of Millport, AL; four grandchildren, Christopher and Kaitlyn Kylus, Kasen Hulen, and Cole Weathers; one brother, Todd (Helen) Hulen of Vernon, AL; one sister, Melissa (Jeffery) Brock of Milton, FL; his very best friend, Mike Fraser of Vernon, AL; and a host of family and friends.
