Evelyn Younghanse Turner, age 77 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.

Mrs. Turner was born September 6, 1934, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Murphy and Annie Lee Younghanse and was a registered nurse. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Turner.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 4:00 in the funeral home chapel with Mike Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Blooming Grove. Visitation will be 2-4 prior to the service.

Survivors are her son, Harry Turner, II of Huntsville, AL; two daughters, Jackueline (Mark) Barnes of Caledonia, MS and Jennifer Turner of Huntsville, AL; two grandsons, Murphy William and James Henry; and one brother, Lenard (Helen) Younghanse of Northport, AL;
