Mrs. Anna Faye Wheeler, age 81, of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Faye was born June 4, 1941, in Atmore, AL, to the late Abe and Minnie Lee Mixon.  She was a hairdresser and was an active member of Vibrant Church in Columbus, MS.  Faye was also a member of the Vernon Connect Small group where she enjoyed the friendships and fellowship with other believers.  She loved Alabama football, the Kansas City Chiefs, March Madness, and traveling to the mountains.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports.  Faye also loved to watch wildlife around the lake from her porch and the view of beautiful wild flowers.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Christine Lambert.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 11, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Austin Spann and Reed Eaves officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shiloh Methodist cemetery in the Hightogy Community.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Farrell Wheeler, of Vernon, AL; two sons, Paul (Leanne) Wheeler and Wade (Beverly) Wheeler; two daughters, Robin (David) Spann and Nicole (Stacy) Franklin; five grandchildren, Alex (Kaitlynn) Wheeler, Ashlee Wheeler, Chelsea (Reed)Eaves, Austin Spann, and Macy Franklin; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Davis Eaves; and one sister, Geraldine Jones.
