Obituary
Mr. Garvis Clinton Evans, age 73 of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Generations of Vernon.
Mr. Evans was born July 26, 1940, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Garlos and Leudell Evans. He enjoyed music, working on his cars, and going to church. Mr. Evans was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bentford Evans, Grafton Evans, and Leonard Evans.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. James Waldon officiating. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery in Sulligent, AL. Visitation will be Thursday 1-2 prior to the service.
Survivors include his sister, Beatrice Christian of Vernon, AL; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, James Cole.
