Mrs. Lula Gayle Johnson, age 76, of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Johnson was born November 14, 1946, in Columbus, MS, to the late Reese and Evelyn Parker Mitchell.  She was an assembly worker at Chromalox, and was also preceded in death by her infant brother.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 19, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Jerry Ray officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shiloh Methodist Cemetery in the Hightogy Community.  Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Rogers, Eugene O'Mary, Dawson O'Mary, James Rogers, Randy Deason, and Tim Newton.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Johnson, of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Michelle O'Mary, of Vernon, AL; two grandchildren, Blair Eiynck and Dawson (Haley) O' Mary; one great-grandchild, Brylee Eiynck; one sister, Glenda (Cliff) Newton, of Fayette, AL; one nephew, Tim Newton; one step-daughter, Paula (Greg) Stanford; one step-son, John Paul (Sharon) Johnson; four step-grandchildren, Tiffany (Zack) Tolleson, Tori Stanford, and Tanner and Dalton Johnson; her friend, Gina King; and her nurses from Enhabit Hospice, Katelyn Williams, Nicole Kelley, Amy Guthery, and Candace Franks.
