Mr. Gayron Paul Hankins, age 84, of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Hankins was born October 2, 1939, in Vernon, AL, to the late Paul and Idell Hankins.  He was a plant superintendent for 21 years at Harmon Automotive, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Wade Hankins.

The family has chosen cremation, and will have a memorial service Wednesday, October 25, at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Joe Moseley officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Jeri Hankins; one daughter, Paula Steward; two step-sons, James Barry Williams, Jr. and Matthew (Tara) Williams; one step-daughter, Summer Ross (Michael Hill); his grandchildren, Drae Ross, Lee Ellen Ross, Paisley Williams, Emmalane Williams, Sarah Steward, Rebecca, and Steven Layton; two sisters, Glennice (Earlie) Otts and Ada Bell (Joe) Smith; his sister-in-law, Geraldine Hankins; and his nieces and nephews.
