Obituary

Gloria Peters Ingram, known as "Mama Glo" or "Glosey" to her family and many friends, was born on November 30, 1925, and passed away at 95 in her home on March 9, 2021, with her daughter and granddaughter at her bedside.

Van and Gloria were married on December 17, 1944, and they enjoyed 64 years together before he passed from this life on October 4, 2009.  Gloria adored him and he her, and she was the model Christian wife and partner in ministry.  Being mom to Tom, Becky, Patsy, and Jimmie was one
of her greatest joys, and she was among the best of grandmothers and great-grandmothers.  To know Gloria was to love her and be loved by her. She embodied the fruit of the Spirit and was a beautiful example to all she encountered of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  Gloria ran her race with grace, poise, and Southern charm.  She fought the good fight, and she has gained her reward. She leaves quite the void, but her family also rejoices in knowing that heaven will be that much sweeter because she will be there waiting for each one with open arms and an "I love you SO BIG."

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Bedie Peters; her husband, Van; her daughter, Rebecca Ingram Click; three brothers, Howard Peters, John Peters, and E.J. Peters; one foster daughter, Jimmie Lee; and two great-grandchildren, William and David.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.

Gloria is survived by her children, Tom Ingram (Cindy) and Patsy Ingram Webber (Steve); 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
