Obituary
Mr. Grady Price Bethune, age 75 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Bethune was born August 13, 1938, in Fort Payne, AL, to the late Thirzle Dee and Catherine Loise Bethune. He served in the National Guard and was a farmer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bethune was preceded in death by his son, Thirzle Junior Bethune, and his brother, Jimmy Ray Bethune.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with James Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 1-2 prior to the service.
Survivors include his son, Tony (Sonja) Bethune of Cullman, AL; his granddaughter, Karisa Bethune of Hackleburg, AL; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Charles C. (Katherine) Bethune of Centerville, AL; his sister, Katherine Chaffin of North Carolina; his niece, Jean Bethune; and two special friends, Roland Jackson and Tyler Simpson.
