Obituary
Miss Harley Marie Ruffin, age 18 of Millport, AL, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, near Sulligent.
Harley was born October 9, 1998, in Tupelo, MS, to Greg and Rita Ruffin. She was a 2017 graduate of Lamar Co. High School where she was a six year member of the Band of Gold. Harley had recently received her CNA certification. She enjoyed four wheeler riding, fishing, cutting circles in Vernon with friends, and loved dirt track racing. Harley was preceded in death by Charles Edward Smith, and her grandparents, Charles and Betty Ruffin and Bonzell McGee.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 in the Lamar County High School Gym with Mike Nabors and Keith Miles officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove. Visitation will be Sunday 1:30-3:00 at the gym prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Bo Minor, Heath Minor, Noah Tyler, Dawson O'Mary, B.J. Plunkett, Tommy McCool, and Jake McGee.
Harley is survived by her parents, Greg and Rita Ruffin of Millport, AL; her brother, Charles (Mary Helen) Ruffin of Amory, MS; her grandmother, Dorothy McGee of Millport, AL; her aunts and uncles, Keith (Gwen) McGee of Millport, AL, Dana (Delbert) Jenkins of Westville, MS, and Danny McAdams of Millport, AL; and host of other family and friends.
