Mr. William Harlon Richards, also known as "Cigar", age 78, of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Richards was born November 8, 1945, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Thurman and Pauline Harris Richards.  He worked as a journeyman electrician.

There will be a graveside service Sunday, October  20, at 2:00 PM, at Walnut Grove with Bro. Raymond Spann officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Richards; two sons, Danny (Kristie) Stokes and Shayse (Melanie) Stokes; two daughters, Mary (Stuart) Rowe and Britani Stokes; five grandsons; one sister, Willene Rinker; and a host of other family and friends.
