Mr. Harold Dean Cantrell, age 82, of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.

Mr. Cantrell was born October 9, 1942, to the late Marvin and Vera (Loggins) Cantrell.  He served in the National Guard and was a quality engineer at United Technologies.  Mr. Cantrell enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.  He was married to the late Jo Ann Cantrell, and was also preceded in death by his brothers, C.H. Cantrell, Youell Cantrell, Kenneth Cantrell, and Bobby Cantrell.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 18, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Daniel Berry officiating.  Burial will follow at the Friendship South Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Lucas, Tucker Cantrell, Todd Cantrell, Cedrix Johnson, Keith Cantrell, and Joey Lann.

Survivors include his son, Timothy Jackson (Teresa) Cantrell, of Vernon, AL; three grandchildren, Toshia (Kyle) Lucas, Todd (Jana) Cantrell, and Tucker (Katie) Cantrell, all of Vernon; and seven great-grandchildren, Asher and Abygail Lucas, Ansley Jo, Avery, and Jake Cantrell, and Jackson and Riley Cantrell.
