Mrs. Helen Marie Robertson, age 94 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.

Mrs. Robertson was born September 15, 1921, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late James and Alda Crawford. She was an insurance clerk at Lamar Co. General Hospital and was married to the late Erbie Robertson. Mrs. Robertson was also preceded in death by three brothers, Troy Crawford, Hunter Crawford, and Hoyt Crawford, and five sisters, Elease Sweat, Maureen Turner, Rae Kitchens, Edna Earl Lawrence, and Chapel Barnes.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 at Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church with M.H. Hollis and Danny Thompson officiating. She will lie in state at the church 12-1. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in the Hightogy Community. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6-8 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Taylor, Max Turner, Bobby Wilson, Dink Jones, John Paul Kitchens, and Jim Crawford.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Delane) Robertson of Vernon, AL and Johnny (Kit) Robertson of Vestavia Hills, AL; four grandchildren, Rhonda (Jason) Derst, Kyle (Megan) Robertson, Elizabeth (Clark) Holter, and Lee Ann Robertson; three great-grandchildren, Adleigh Robertson, Madelyn Robertson, and Charleigh Holter; one brother, Bilbo Crawford of Vestavia Hills, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
