Mrs. Helene McLemore, age 83 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Generations of Vernon.

Mrs. McLemore was born November 8, 1930, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Valcus and Bessie Lucas. She was a floral designer with Irvin's Florest. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McLemore was also preceded in death by her son, Jackie McLemore; her daughter, Clara Sue Clanton; and two brothers, J.L. Lucas and Glen Lucas.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Wade Peoples officiating. Burial will follow at Crews Cemetery in Sulligent. Visitation will be Saturday 1-2 prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Jack McLemore of Vernon; her son, Larry (Dianne) McLemore of Vernon, AL; her son-in-law, Lloyd Clanton of Vernon, AL; her daughter-in-law, Shirley McLemore of Tuscaloosa, AL; six grandchildren, Natasha Scott, Shawn McLemore, Tangi McLemore, Scott McLemore, Kevin Clanton, and Jo Anna Bridges; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Carl Lucas and Jimmy Lucas.
