Mr. Hunter Kennedy, age 93 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Generations of Vernon.

Mr. Kennedy was born February 9, 1927, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Clinton Leroy and Rachel Adeline Kennedy.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a dairy and row crop farmer.  Mr. Kennedy enjoyed being outdoors, and loved hunting with his dogs.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Pitts Kennedy; his three sisters, Helen Chandler, Mary Lee Gilmer, and Julia Maddox; and his step-son, Danny McLeroy.

There will be a graveside service Tuesday at 11:00 AM, at Morton Chapel Cemetery, with Glen Boman officiating.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Kennedy, of Vernon, AL, and a host of nieces and nephews.
