Obituary
Ms. Ila Rebecca Rogers, age 95 of Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at Generations of Vernon.
Ms. Rogers was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Marion Co., AL to the late John Henry and Missouri Davis and she was a housewife.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Randy Boman and Eugene O'Mary officiating. Burial will be at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6-8.
Survivors are three daughters, Virginia (Elbert) Logan of Steens, Anglyne Butler of Vernon, and Marion (James) Carr of Decatur, AL; four sons, Bobby Rogers of Vernon, John David (Mary Ellen) Rogers of Vernon, Jerry Wayne Rogers, and Jimmy Wade (Dorothy) Rogers of Vernon; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Ms. Rogers was preceded in death by an infant son, Bruce Rogers, Jr.; daughter, Elwanda Glasgow; son-in-law, Banks Butler; her parents; two sisters, Icy Banks Davis and Lulu Davis; and five brothers, Troy Davis, Verdo Davis, Marvin Davis, Henry Davis, and Vandiver Davis.
