Obituary
Mr. Jack Benny Hayes, age 76 of Mableton, GA and formerly of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Douglasville, GA.
Mr. Hayes was born September 7, 1937, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late LaFayette Jackson and Tennie Beatrice Hayes. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked in road construction.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:00 in the funeral home chapel with Terry McAdams officiating. Graveside services will follow at Lampkin Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-1 prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Hayes of of Mableton, GA; his step-son, Gary Otts of Tocca, GA; his step-daughter, Linda Dorsey of Lilburn, GA; his brother, Tol Hayes of Vernon, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
