Mr. Jacob Perkins, age 21, of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023.

Jacob was born March 5, 2002, in Amory, MS.  He was a 2021 graduate of Lamar County High School where he played football and was involved in various school clubs.  Jacob was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, and was a sales manager at Perkins and Sons Outdoors.  He was a good friend to everyone he knew, and will be missed by many.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlene Perkins, and his aunt, Amber Hattaway.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 8, at 2:00 PM, at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, with Kevin Sudduth, Mike Nabors, Wayne Overton, and Coach Robert Bradford officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church, 12:00-2:00, prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Micah Carter, Doug Miles, Daniel Redus, Jesse Gunnels, Jackson Hollis, Andrew Estes, Dalton Johnson, Colton Woods, Isaac Whittle, Braxton Hathcock, Carson O'Mary, Jamichael Cribbs, Heath Bonner, Mason Couviille, Luke Redus, Houston Avent, Richard Appling, Shemar Sudduth, Demetri Sudduth, Jose Rendon, Caden Robinson, Conner Wimberly, and Dillion Stevenson.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Tony and Stacey Perkins, of Vernon, AL; his brother, Justin (Courtney) Perkins, of Vernon, AL; his grandparents, Brooks Perkins, and Kenneth and Judy Hattaway; his nieces and nephews, Lawson, Tatum, Bryleigh, and Layla Kate Perkins; his aunts and uncles, Tina (Tim) Redus, Janet (Tony) Allen, Jeffery (Michelle) Hattaway, and Jason (Emily) Hattaway; and a host of other family and friends.
