Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" Kay McReynolds, age 63 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH. Mrs. McReynolds was born December 3, 1950, in Sulligent, AL, to the late Floyd and Ritta Yerby. She was a senior buyer for NACCO and was associated with the Project Angel Tree and prison ministries in Lamar Co. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunts, Wilma Dooley, Lois Yerby, and Stella Collins; her uncles, Junior Black, Marvin Yerby, Clifton Black, Roy Yerby, Lee Yerby, Jessie Yerby, Tommy J. Yerby, and Willie T. Yerby; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon and Dorothy McReynolds; and her brother-in-law, David Jeffreys. Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel with Joe Beckon and Dickie Dees officiating. Burial will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday 1:30-3:00 prior to the service. Survivors include her husband, Jerry "Bud" McReynolds of Vernon, AL; her son, Jeffrey McReynolds of Vernon, AL; her daughter, Jamie McReynolds of Vernon, AL; her step-daughter, Christy (Jimmy) Godfrey of Tuscaloosa, AL; her sister, Mickie Jeffreys of Tuscumbia, AL; two special cousins, James Yerby and Diane Turner; and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corinth Baptist Church.
