James Edwin (Ed) Conner, age 84 of Henderson, TN and formerly of Caledonia, MS, passed away Friday, Jan. 28, at Westwood Healthcare in Decaturville, TN.

Mr. Conner was born March 10, 1926, in Millport to the late John Thomas and Nancy Jane Conner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and WWII and worked as a civil service machinist for the U.S. Air Force for 30 years. He was a member and elder at Caledonia Church of Christ. Mr. Conner resided the last year in Henderson, TN with his daughter and was a member of the Lions Club there in Henderson.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 in the funeral home chapel with Les Ferguson, Jr., Shane Merdith, and Ben Flatt officiating. Burial will at Christian Chapel Cemetery with full military honors.

Survivors are his daughter, Joan (Bob) Brown of Henderson, TN; sister, Katherine Odell of Columbus, MS; three grandchildren, Scott (Sheryl) Brown, Robin Halford, and Karen (Les) Ferguson; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Fell Conner, and his parents, John Thomas and Nancy Jane Conner.
