Obituary
James Monroe Edgeworth, age 81 of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Edgeworth was born January 13, 1935, in Lamar Co., AL, to the late Zeak and Lula Mae Edgeworth. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy and Roland Edgeworth; his sisters, Idale Williams, Rosetta Moore, Mary Magdelene Edgeworth; and some nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Danny Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Friday 1-2 prior to the service.
Survivors include his caregiver, Melinda (Stacey) Hawkins of Vernon, AL; his special friend, Rodney Gayle of Vernon, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
