Obituary
James Lawrence McGee, age 77 of Vernon, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Feyette Medical Center-DCH.
Mr. McGee was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Walker, Co., AL to the late Ernest Lewis and Hattie Lou McGee. He was an engineer and served in the U.S. Army and Korean Conflict.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Tony Gallop officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove. Visitation will be Wed. evening 6-9.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McGee of Vernon; son, Roger Dale (Diane) McGee of Vernon; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Truman (Nancy Jo) McGee of Millport, AL; brother-in-law, Lloyd Miller of Birmingham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles McGee; and sister, Louise Miller.
