Mrs. Jane Magdalene "Tootsie" Parker, age 77 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.

Mrs. Parker was born November 7, 1935, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Greeley and Eunice Perkins. She attended Taylor Springs Freewill Baptist Church until her recent illness. She loved her church family, quilting, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Parker; her parents; and brother, Marion "Bud" Perkins.

Funeral services will be Monday at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Fred Graham and Bro. Keith Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Fellowship Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening 6-8.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Bill) Pennington Reich of Vernon, AL; one granddaughter, Wendy Pennington of New Hope, MS; two sisters, Joyce (Benny) Hardy of Northport, AL and Martha Bradford of Vernon, AL; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
