Mrs. Jean Anderson, age 85 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, in Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Anderson was born August 11, 1928, in Blythville, AR, to the late Bert and Jewell Lamb. She was a business owner and was also married to the late James B. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was also preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Anderson.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 at Montevista Baptist Church in Eupora, MS with Jason Delgado and Brandon Criswell officiating. She will lie in state at the church 1-2. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be be Thursday 6-8 at the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. James B. Anderson, III of Columbus, MS, Jerry Anderson of Fort Davis, TX, and Joel Anderson of Eupora, MS; one daughter, Jeanette (Stanley) Herron of Vernon, AL; four grandchildren, Morgan Anderson, Beth Turner, Joshua Anderson, and Chelsey White; one great-grandchild, Paxton Brady Turner; and two special friends, Cathy Beaird of Eupora, MS and Paula Anderson of Gainesville, FL.
