Mr. William Jerome "Romie" Henry, also known as G-Dawg, of Fayette, AL, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.
Mr. Henry was born December 20, 1967, in Vero Beach, FL, to the late Billy Gene and Annie Laura (Fowler) Henry and was a construction worker. Mr. Henry was a 1987 graduate of Lamar Co. High School and was part of the 1984 3-A state champion football team. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Elizabeth Henry, Johnny Henry, and James A. Bynum.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 14, from the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Pastor Pamela Williams officiating. Graveside services will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be 12-1 prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Henry of Fayette, AL; his daughter, Annie Laura Henry of Fayette, AL; his grandmother, Earlene Bynum of Vernon, AL; his step-son, William Wallace of Guin, AL; his step-daughter, Nicole Brown of Dallas, TX; one grandson; three brothers, Tony (Christine) Henry of Milton, FL, Mark DeWayne Henry of Fayette, AL, and Bradley Anderson Henry of Vernon, AL; one sister, Carrie Nalls of Fayette, AL; two step-brothers, Billy Ray Westbrook of Red Bay, AL and Christopher Boyd of Columbus, GA; two step-sisters, Sabrina (Charles) Blackburn of Charlotte, NC and Carolyn Smith of Sulligent, AL; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
