Mr. Jerry Lee Gartman, age 82, of Vernon, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Mr. Gartman was born March 7, 1940, in Lamar County, AL, to the late John and Icie Gartmant.  He received his Associate Degree at Shelton State Community College, and was a machinist and welder.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Howard Gartman, Alford Gartman, Ellon Gartman, Belton Gartman, and John Billy Gartman, and his sister, Mary Eunice Aikin.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 16, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Danny Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow Ebenezer Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday, 1:00-2:00 PM, prior to the service.

Mr. Gartman is survived by his nephew, David (Kim) Gartman.
