Obituary
Ms. Jerry Nell Herren, age 76 of Vernon, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Generations of Vernon.
Ms. Herren was born April 16, 1935 in Graysville, AL to the late Henry Matthew and Evely Alice Brewer. She was a seamstress.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the funeral home chapel with Billy Carl Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Oakes Chapel cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6-8.
Survivors are her son, Dan (Melinda) Herren of Vernon; four daughters, Nancy (David) Christian of Beaverton, Sandra (Tony) McDonald of Vernon, Alice Dove of Sulligent, and Barbara (Jeff) Matthews of Vernon; two brothers, Glynn (Betty) Brewer of Graysville, AL and John (Cherry) Brewer of Pinson, AL; two sisters, Barbara (Donald) Furgeson of Graysville, AL and Mary (Robert) Iversen of Adamsville, AL; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-heart, Cidy Prestige of Amory, MS.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Herren; her parents; her husband, Jimmie Herren; three brothers, James L. Brewer, Robert G. Brewer, and Henry Matthew Brewer, Jr.
