Mrs. Jo Ann Bryant Barnes, age 90 of Caledonia, MS, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.

Mrs. Barnes was born April 24, 1929, in Millport, AL, to the late David P. and Eppie L. Bryant.  She was an executive secretary for Airline Manufacturing and was married to the late Joe C. Barnes, Sr.  Mrs. Barnes was also preceded in death by her daughter, Aleta Jurine Barnes, and her son, William A. Barnes.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 11, at 12:30 PM in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Sonny McLellan officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday morning 11:00-12:30.

Survivors include her daughter, Elisa Barnes (Michael) Shizak of Columbus, MS; two sons, Joe C. (Ann) Barnes, Jr. of Columbus, MS and Herb Traywick of Clanton, AL; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
