Mrs. Jo Ann Gosa Cantrell, age 67 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thusday, March 22, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Cantrell was born Aug. 25, 1944, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Lester and Nettie Gosa. She ran a child day center from her home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, George Gosa, Freddie Gosa, and Carl Gosa; and two sisters, Anna Lee Harris and Sheryl Woodham.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with Glenn Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship South Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening 6-8.

Mrs. Cantrell is survived by her husband, Harold Cantrell of Vernon, AL; son, Timothy Jackson (Teresa) Cantrell of Vernon, AL; three grandchildren, Toshia Lynn (Kyle) Lucas of Vernon, AL, Wesley Todd Cantrell (fiance Jana Herron) of Vernon, AL; and Tucker Jackson Cantrell of Vernon, AL; four sisters, Jeanette Seals of Sulligent, AL, Edith Sandlin of Sulligent, AL, Linda Sue Smith of Enterprise, AL, and Patricia Ann Berry of Gardendale, AL; and one brother, Buck Gosa of Haleyville, AL.
