Mrs. Mary Joan Jordan, age 76 of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at her residence.

Mrs. Jordan was born July 11, 1943, in Vernon, AL, to the late Robert Leon and Dorothy Mae McReynolds.  She was an administrative assistant and a member of Corinth Baptist Church where she held many positions.  She enjoyed being with her family, and was a friend to everyone she met.  Mrs. Jordan was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Jackie McReynolds.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Kevin Sudduth and Jimmy Lann officiating.  Burial will follow at Furnace Hill.  Visitation will be Friday 12:30-2:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Jordan of Vernon, AL; two daughters, Sheilah Walker of Vernon, AL and Tammy Huff of Winfield, AL; four grandchildren, Adam McDaniel (Claire Laska), Jake Huff, Bethany Huff, and Caleigh Walker; three great-grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth, Jacob Grant, and Anna Kathryn Huff; one brother, Bud McReynolds; her special friend, Kathy Merchant; and her nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.
