Obituary
Mr. John Albert Hawkins, age 72, of Millport, AL, passed away Saturday, May, 29, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Hawkins was born July 9, 1937 in Lamar Co., AL to the late Walker and Frankie Hawkins. He worked as a building construction lay out man and served in the National Guard.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 2:00 from the Christian Chapel Church of Christ where he will lie in state from 1-2 with Jesse Phillips and Travis Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-9 at the funeral home.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mildred Hawkins of Millport, AL; son, Ted Hawkins of Millport, AL; two daughters, Charlotte (Jerry)Brownlee of New Hope, MS and Nancy (Gary) Humberts of Millport, AL; two brothers, Robert Hawkins and J.M. Hawkins, both of Vernon; six grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Frankie Hawkins.
