Obituary

Mr. Johnny Ray Edwards, age 60, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Edwards was born August 4, 1961, in Caledonia, MS, to the late K.G. and Luicelle Pace.  He was a painter, and was a good friend to many.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was also preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Hughes; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Edwards and Jimmy Dale Edwards; and one nephew, Jimmy Fred Ford.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 14, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with James Godsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Celebration Worship Center Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday, 2:00-4:00, prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Dola Mae Edwards, of Vernon, AL; two daughters, Melissa Edwards and Angela Edwards, both of Vernon, AL; five grandchildren, Harley Edwards of Caledonia, MS, Teagan Spruill of Vernon, AL, Paisley Lewis of Vernon, AL, Miracle Edwards of Birmingham, AL, and Hunter Lee of Booneville, MS; one brother, James David Edwards of Vernon, AL; two sisters, Joyce Harcrow of Reform, AL and Judy Ford of Pontotoc, MS; and two very special friends, Henry Spruill and Roy Ford.
