Mr. Johnny Wayne McAdams, age 59 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. McAdams was born August 19, 1958, in Vernon, AL, to the late Brooks and Barbara McAdams. He was C&C machine operator at Hyster for over 40 years and enjoyed being with his family, watching Alabama football, and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenny McAdams; his grandparents, James K. and Minnie McAdams and Leroy and Effie Lee Jones; and his father-in-law, Perry Foster.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Charlie Ballew and Chris Hunnicutt officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, 6:00-9:00, at the church.
Active pallbearers will be Ellis Thompson, Ricky Lacy, Mike Savage, Danny Otts, Mark Randolph, Darwin Mixon, Jerry Robertson, and Dell Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley McAdams of Vernon, AL; one son, Justin (Rachel) McAdams of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Angie (Leith) Pennington of Vernon, AL; five grandchildren, Tyler McAdams, Brylee Pennington, Zoey McAdams, Cooper McAdams, and Farrah Pennington; one brother, Wade McAdams of Vernon, AL; his mother-in-law, Cleo Foster; his life long friend, Mark Randolph; and a host of friends and other relatives.
