Mrs. Joyce Jones Salaz, age 74 of Sun Valley, NV and formerly of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV.

Mrs. Salaz was born December 2, 1939, near Steens, MS to the late Arthur Homer and Lovie Robertson. She was seamstress and retired from Glenn Manufacturing Company in 2000 after 42 years. Mrs. Salaz was a member of the Vernon Church of Christ and she enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dale Jones; her granddaughter, Leah Denise Delk Gilliam of Huntsville, AL; and four brothers, Arthur Ray (Earline) Robertson, James Albert (Suzanne) Robertson, L.G. (Bobby) Robertson of Hayden, AL, and Hollis (Robby) Robertson of St. Louis, MI.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 2:00 at the Christian Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery with Sonny McLellan officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Salaz of Sun Valley, NV; her son, Lesley Dale Jones of Columbus, MS; two daughters, Jacqueline Lynnette (Ed) Loud of Morgantown, WV and Lori Delane (Huey) Hester of Vernon, AL and Hester Trucking; two grandchildren, Rachel Faye Delk and Nathaniel Durell Delk both of Columbus, MS; one great-granddaughter, Ellie Inzer; and one grandson-in-law, Jamie Gilliam of Nashville, TN.
