Mrs. Wanda Kay DuBose, age 66 of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Mrs. DuBose was born March 7, 1949, to Alice Johnson and the late Prentiss Johnson. She was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed playing and singing music. In addition to her father, Mrs. DuBose was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda, and her nephew, Collin Mattison.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church with Mark McGuire and Kevin Sudduth officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning 10-11 at the church prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Preston Corbett, Chacy DuBose, Danny DuBose, Terry DuBose, Kevin Johnson, and Paul Mattison.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Wayne DuBose; two daughters, Wendy McGuire and Crystal (Kory) Evans, both of Fayette, AL; four grandchildren, Kaylea (Kevin) Johnson, Jacey McGuire, Ty Burnett, and Ali Burnett; her mother, Alice Johnson; two sisters, Margaret (Leonard) Corbett and Debbie (Paul) Mattison; and a host of nieces and nephews.
