Obituary

Mrs. Kitty Faye Reeves, age 81 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Mrs. Reeves was born July 10, 1938, in Vernon, AL, to the late Bailey Franklin Woods and Mattie Lou Woods McDaniel.  She was an instructor for Health Tex.  Mrs. Reeves enjoyed being with her family.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Reeves; her granddaughter, Presley Pinkerton; two brothers, Vadus Ray Woods and Charles N. Woods; two sisters, Virginia Calvert and Ruby Higdon Lawrence; and her step-father, Bradley McDaniel.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Bro. James Godsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday 11:00-1:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include one son, Tony (Sandra) Reeves of Sulligent, AL; one daughter, Alicia (Derrick) Pinkerton of Vernon, AL; four grandchildren, Ryan Reeves, Matthew Pinkerton, Josh Hawkins, and Brandy Bowling; two brothers, Carl F. "Pete" Woods and Bailey W. Woods; seven great-grandchildren, Jaedyn and Maxx Pinkerton, Hunter Gann, T.J. Hawkins, and Kylee, Easton, and Carsten Frost; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Cummings and Mary Woods; a host of nieces and nephews; and her loving McDaniel family.
