Mr. Larry David "Dave" Welch, Jr., age 41 of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017, in Steens, MS.

Mr. Welch was born November 16, 1975, in Vernon, AL, to Frances Welch and the late Larry David Welch, Sr. He was a machinist at PACCAR in Columbus, and was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Oness and Helan Callahan.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church with Danny Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church Thursday 10:00-11:00 prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Welch, Adam Leonard, Jonathan Beasley, Tim Barlow, Jason Barlow, Tim Stripling, Stanley Locke, and M.J. Downey.

Survivors include his wife, Melena Welch of Vernon, AL; two sons, Ryan Welch and Dean Welch; two daughters, Katie King and Emma Grace Welch; his mother, Frances Welch of Millport, AL; one brother, Shane Welch of Vernon, AL; three nephews, T.J. Brock, Eric Stockman, and B.J. Adams; four nieces, Bridgette Welch, Blakely Welch, Cassie Stockman, and Leighanna Adams; and a host of other family and friends.
