Mr. Larry Hopper, age 70 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.
Mr. Hopper was born February 5, 1942 in Lamar Co., AL to the late William Perry and Denver Hopper. He was a carpenter and enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood work, camping, and being with family. Mr. Hopper was a life time member of Nebo United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tim Hopper; nephew, Phillip Pennington; two brothers, Howard Hopper and Billy Joe Hopper; and two sisters, Eloise Jorgenson and Hilda Pennington.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Terry McAdams officiating. Burial will follow at Lampkin Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-2 prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hopper of Sulligent, AL; three daughters, Tina (Bill) Shelton of Sulligent, AL, Teresa (David) Sullivan of Sulligent, AL, and Tabitha (Darrell) Denton of Sulligent, AL; six grandchildren, Alana Shelton of Vernon, AL, Brandon Sullivan of Sulligent, AL, Justin Shelton of Vernon, AL, Carson DuBose of Belleview, TN, Corey DuBose of Sulligent, AL, and Ethan Sullivan of Sulligent, AL; special friend, Bo; brother-in-law, Dupree Pennington; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glen and Linda Richards.
