Ms. Lee Anne Montgomery, age 64, of Gardendale, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at her residence.

Lee Anne Montgomery was born on July 31, 1961, in Vernon, AL, to the late Paul Young, Sr. and Anne Young.  She dedicated her life to caring for others and served faithfully as a Chief Nursing Officer, along with other nursing administration roles throughout her career.  Her kindness, generosity, and steady compassion touched countless lives, both inside and outside the hospital walls.

Her greatest joy in life was her family, followed closely by cheering on the Crimson Tide.  Her faith in Jesus was a steady anchor throughout her life, and she is now fully healed in His presence.  Her legacy of love, service, and generosity will live on in all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 7, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Robbie Bradford officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00–2:00 PM, prior to the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her nephew, Ben Barrow, and her sister-in-law, Becky Young.

She is survived by her son, William Carter (Lindsey) Montgomery of Huntsville, AL; her daughter, Kelli (Tom) McConnell of Mt. Olive, AL; and her beloved grandchildren—Sutton and Sophie McConnell, and Campbell and Hallie Montgomery. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul (Annette) Young of Vernon, AL, and Bob Young of Hartselle, AL; her nephew, Tyler (Heather) Young; her niece, Katie (Brandon) Fitzpatrick; and five grand-nieces and nephews—Addie, Silas, and Beau Young, and Riley and Connor Fitzpatrick—along with many other nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
