Mr. Leonard Dale Oakes, age 71, of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Oakes was born April 11, 1950, in Vernon, AL, to the late Felton and Nema Gail Oakes.  He worked in manufacturing at Arvin's, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Gene Oakes.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 27, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. James Godsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakes Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be 10:00-11:00, prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Kendall Price, Jason Perkins, Jeff Oakes, Brett Gentle, Darrell Tucker, and Tony Allen.

Survivors include two daughters, Bridget (Kendall) Price and Cristal (Jason) Perkins, both of Vernon, AL, and two grandchildren, Aslan and Kovin Perkins.
