Mrs. Linda Kay Pennington, age 75 of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Mrs. Pennington was born January 27, 1942, in Pittsville, IL, to the late Floyd W. and Avanell Rose Dell, and was a restaurant district manager. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pennington was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tonie Lynn Wilkerson; her father and mother-in-law, William Richard and Addie Viole Pennington; three brothers, Bob Dell, David Dell, Steven Simpson; and one sister, Diane Phillips.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6-8.
Survivors include her husband, William Dale Pennington of Vernon, AL; two sons, James Denton Palmertree of Vernon, AL and Ryan Pennington of Vernon, AL; four daughters, Lorie Palmertree of Starkville, MS, Carrie White of West Point, MS, Milissa Strong of Startkville, MS, and Kendra Pennington of Florence, AL; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike Simpson of Minnesota; and two sisters, Michelle Kuehne of Jacksonville, FL and Brenda Shutters of Ringo, GA.
