Mr. Lonnie Gale Hawkins, age 70, of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Hawkins was born June 26, 1954, in Guin, AL, to the late Jim Carl and Elizabeth Ann (Belk) Hawkins.  He was a husband, a father, a Pawpaw, and a friend.  Mr. Hawkins worked as a mechanic, construction worker, and and truck driver.  He had a passion for deer hunting and fixing up his Ford Fairland.  He was of the Christian faith, a member of the of the Brothers Keepers, and was saved by the grace of Good.  He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Jim Wayne and Barbara Hawkins, and his nephew, Jason Hawkins.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, March 4, at 11:00 AM, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in the Hightogy Community, with Bro. Stuart Vail officiating.

Pallbearers will be Foster Vail, Brent Vail, Hunter Britt, Roy Oglesby, Shane James, and Corey Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Hawkins, of Vernon, AL; two sons, Terry (Lisa) Hawkins and Preston (Courtney) Hawkins; three daughters, Tina (Virgil) Lewis, Christy (Chris) Morton, and Britney (Phillip) Morris; three grandchildren, Jason and Jayla Hawkins, and Elijah Moore; one brother, Ricky Carl Hawkins; his nephew and niece, Justin Hawkins and Carol Hawkins; his in-laws, the Vice family; and a host of nieces and nephews.
