Mrs. Madeline Cobb Pennington, age 80, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore in Amory.

Mrs. Pennington was born April 19, 1941, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Silas E. and Addine Humphreys Cobb.  She was a housewife, and was married to the late Leathel Pennington.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sheri Brewer, five sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 7, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with James Cobb officiating.  Burial will follow at Springfield Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday evening, 6:00-8:00.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Brewer, Robin Brewer, and Rondall Pennington; one daughter, Earlene Taylor; five grandchildren, LaDare Shaw, Alyssa Taylor, Kim Brewer, Kizandrea Wilkerson, and Collin Pennington; six great-grandchildren, Leathel and Ramsey Boswell, Liam and Emma Shaw, Jordan Brewer, and Opal Wilkerson.
